Hi! We are Emma & Nikita!

We are GOOD BIG NICE, a fermented foods company in Montreal Quebec.

Before the pandemic, we owned an office catering company that incorporated many of our own fermented products. Our kimchis and sauerkraut had always been the highlight of our catering menu. After losing our catering business overnight in 2020, we decided to pivot and produce our lacto-fermented products and sell them directly to grocery stores.

We created these products using inspiration from family recipes and our shared Eastern European heritage then adapted them to use local produce.

Our mission is to produce traditional recipes using local produce while minimizing food waste through fermentation, a form of natural preservation.

This business has introduced a magical kind of happiness into our lives that has swallowed us whole and man oh man, do we hope it never ever spits us out.
